This weekend my husband, mom and I set out for a little weekend fun.
I’m *very* passionate about supporting local craftspeople and local farms for handmade goods and fresh meats, vegetables & fruits!
The “little man” is truly the backbone of society, and as a “little man” entrepreneur myself; I take every opportunity to support others of the same lifestyle.
There’s enough room for everyone! No need for ruthless competition 🙂
At first, we had planned on just venturing out for some *delicious* Mama Crocketts, not even knowing about the farm products and craft goods that would also be available!
When we arrived I was instantly excited and surprised – the perfect little summer market with fabulous weather, what more could a girl want?!
There were many more tents than these pictured, which I found impressive.
Some tents were selling delicate crochet items, a few had homemade preserves and herb butter offerings, a local basket weaver and other handmade goods too!
For myself I purchased some handmade clay earrings, a photography print of little piglets in a flower field, some homemade sugar scrub, handcrafted stickers and a homemade chapstick holder because I always loose mine – ha!
We also purchased some farm-fresh meats and vegetables for the upcoming weeks dinners – although I didn’t take pictures of that!
The meats are wrapped in butchers paper so you can’t really tell what meat is which, but I’m happy to have farm fresh meats.
We got a mix of vegetables too, and a huge yummy looking cantaloupe!
My husband also bought some handcrafted sauces and vinaigrette’s.
After we were done visiting the craftsmen tents, we settled down under some giant oak trees in the deep shade for delicious food and some of the yummy doughnuts.
I’m so grateful for the little joys and the time spent with the people I love – life is all about relationships!
The relationships we have with other humans, animals, the earth, our foods and life itself all shape and mold us as people.
Enjoy time with your loved ones this weekend, y’all!
